EXPLORE NETWORKING

Plan a network that fits your operation.

Router & firewall

Your router connects the site to the internet, while firewall settings control permitted traffic. Discuss installation, replacement or troubleshooting with your IT team and internet provider.

Useful details to have ready

  • Equipment model and the issue or planned change.
  • Your internet provider and authorized IT contact.
  • An approved work window and connectivity checks.

Network switch

A switch connects workstations, access points and other devices on the local network. Plan port capacity, equipment changes and patching against the devices your location needs.

Useful details to have ready

  • Connected devices and required ports.
  • Current rack, power and cable arrangements.
  • VLAN or configuration instructions from your IT team.

Wi-Fi access point

Access points provide wireless connectivity around your business. Discuss placement, replacement or investigation of connection problems based on the space, users and existing network.

Useful details to have ready

  • Affected areas and examples of the connection problem.
  • Access-point models and the managing IT contact.
  • Mounting, cabling and building-access requirements.

Rack & data center

For network equipment in a data center, start with the approved physical task and facility rules. Discuss rack access, patching or equipment changes with the engineer who will authorize and validate the work.

Useful details to have ready

  • Facility, rack location and equipment identifiers.
  • Approved instructions and access requirements.
  • Change window and remote engineering contact.

Browse all FAQs
What information should I have ready?

Start with what needs to happen, the location, approximate quantities and your preferred timing. Equipment names, the symptoms of a problem and an onsite contact are useful when available. Estimates are fine; mark anything that still needs checking.

Can one request include several services?

Yes. Add multiple requests to one project, including several jobs for the same service. Each request can have its own answers, assigned locations and timing. You can duplicate a request for similar work, edit it or remove it before submitting once. For example, new cameras may also need cabling and network changes. Keep the shared location, timing and contact details together so the connections between tasks can be reviewed.

Do I need to choose equipment first?

No. Say whether equipment is already available, selected for purchase or still undecided. If you need recommendations, describe the result you want and any existing systems it must work with. Model details help assess compatibility, but you can begin without a complete equipment list.

Can you work with our existing IT provider or vendor?

Yes, coordinated work with an internal IT team, MSP or technology vendor can be discussed. Identify who owns configuration, access, approvals and testing. For example, your provider might guide a physical replacement remotely and confirm service afterward. Responsibilities and communication are agreed as part of the scope.

Can you support several locations?

Multi-location work can be planned as one project. Share the site list, quantities, differences between sites and preferred rollout order. New York is the primary focus; East Coast and nationwide projects are reviewed against location, timing, requirements and available resources before dispatch is agreed.

What happens after I send a request?

A request provides a starting brief for reviewing the work, open questions and possible next steps. It does not confirm a booking, price or response window. When email delivery is enabled, the confirmation includes your reference and a private download of the service intake PDF. A confirmation email with the same PDF is sent when that option is enabled. If the page is in preview mode, it does not send a request. Scheduling and responsibilities need to be agreed before work begins.
